Camping Fausto

"What a great place!"

Camping Fausto

Welcome to Camping Fausto

Our nature campground is located just outside the village of Crozon-sur-Vauvre in the beautiful Berry region. The small Vauvre River forms the outer boundary of our campground. On the other side is a small road leading to Aigurande, a small town with bakeries, a pharmacy, a weekly market, and an Intermarché.

Our campground has 25 sites. We have 4 safari tents, 2 bell tents, 2 wooden chalets, and 17 sites for caravans, RVs, folding trailers, or large tents. For the adventurous, we have a special tent field right next to the Vauvre River.

The campsite

There is a swimming pool and a field where you can play to your heart's content. A large trampoline, a pétanque court and a table-tennis table are not missing either. And for the little ones there are various play structures. Fancy enjoying a campfire in the evening? That's possible. Along the river you gaze at the stars and enjoy a crackling fire together.

Don't feel like cooking yourself? There are several restaurants in the area and now and then we cook for our guests. At the campsite we have a bread service, sell various basic products and offer a range of drinks and ice creams.

Cycling and walking adventures

Outdoor activities are in our DNA. That’s why we’ll do everything we can to ensure cyclists and hikers have a pleasant stay. You can set out on beautiful hikes right from the campground, and there are also various cycling routes to Creuze and Indre.

We have the perfect spots to spend the night. Light a campfire, enjoy a beer or a soft drink, and then head into your (safari) tent to unwind after a wonderful, active day. There are several cycling and hiking routes we’d love to tell you more about!

The surroundings

Our campground is located in the Indre department (36) and is part of the Berry region. It’s a green oasis in the heart of France, a 2.5-hour drive south of Paris. It’s perfect for a wonderful vacation or as a stopover on your way to Southern Europe—though honestly, once you’re here, you won’t want to go anywhere else! This area hasn’t yet been discovered by mass tourism, which means you’ll experience the real France here. Endless hiking and biking through the green hills, discovering little castles, browsing flea markets, taking a dip in the Creuse River, or letting yourself be transported back to the 19th century, to the turbulent life of the famous feminist writer George Sand: here, you’ll find what you weren’t even looking for, and that’s what makes it so much fun.

And for groceries, there are several bakeries and supermarkets just 8 km from our campground. You can even get there by bike!
